Q: What is the latest check in time for my ferry?
A: The latest check-in time for your crossing is detailed on screen at time of booking and in the booking confirmation sent to the email address you provided.
If you have any special requirements, reduced mobility or may need any other assistance, then we advise arriving early. Q: Are there car parking facilities at the ferry port?A: This varies from port to port however the majority of ferry ports will either have parking on site or nearby. Where possible, we have added details of port parking facilities on our port location pages. Please Click here for more details. Q: Can I buy my ferry ticket at the port?
A: In most cases yes, however you should note the following:
- All ferry companies charge a same day booking fee.
- You run the risk of not getting a space.
- Offer fares (usually available most of the year) are not applicable so the more expensive brochure fare will apply.
- Most ferry companies now operate a demand led pricing structure which means you have to book early to get the best fares. Making a booking at the port means you are booking as late as possible.
Therefore, we strongly advise against booking at the port. Q: What facilities are there at the port?
A: Facilities can vary quite dramatically from port to port.
Generally, the bigger and more used ports, the better facilities you can expect.
If you require specific details then we would advise contacting the port directly before departure. Q: What happens if I miss my ferry?
A: This varies from route to route and ferry company to ferry company. Your booking is only confirmed for the dates/times you specified. In most cases it will be at the discretion of the port whether they allow you to be moved to the next crossing and in any case, additional charges may apply.
If you think you are going to miss your ferry then please contact us on 0871 222 3312 (during normal office hours) and we will try to assist you. Q: On arrival at the ferry port, where do I check in?
